In Christianity, giving up is a sign of death. Life for us is in the spirit. All the temptations that come against us trying to get us in or keep us in the flesh. When you give up or give in to surrendering to the flesh it is death. Life for us is in the spirit. We never give up this life in the spirit regardless of what comes against us. God said that He will never leave you nor forsake you. God is spirit. In other words, you are to be in the spirit if you want to walk with Him and be with Him. You are joined with Jesus in the spirit.
Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh, 4 that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
Galatians 5:24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Life’s circumstances have a voice. This voice wants to keep you down, never finding out the true purpose of why you are here. It’s your relationship with Jesus that the devil is most afraid of. He is not afraid of you but is afraid of you becoming one with Jesus. This is devastating to the storms in your life. It’s no accident why all these things happen to you. It’s done on purpose to get you off the path of righteousness for His Name’s sake because you carry His Name. Many churches are afraid of preaching this freedom in Christ. When we are joined with Jesus, like a husband and a wife are joined, you carry His Name. By carrying His Name you also carry His righteousness. Jesus is the King of righteousness. God’s Kingdom is built on righteousness. Why do you think that God speaking through Moses told the Israelites to do what is good and right in His sight? Doing what is good and right is the other half of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. The devil doesn’t want you to live from there. Sin wasn’t in the world until Adam ate of the tree. By doing this, the devil got what he wanted, to be just like God. Adam, being created in God’s likeness, is what the devil was after. He is the one that wants to rule your life. He can only do that if you are not born again. Being born again invites God into your heart by circumcision which is of the spirit. You not living from the spirit, the devil wins. You will be like the 5 unwise virgins who were saved but didn’t live off what they had. The more you live in the spirit, the more you have oil for your lamp. No living in the spirit, no oil.
Psalms 23:3 He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
Psalms 45:6 Your throne, O God, is forever and ever;
A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom.
7 You love righteousness and hate wickedness;
Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You
With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.
Matthew 25:6 “And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’ 7 Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ 9 But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ 10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut. 11 “Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ 12 But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’ 13 “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.
I don’t know if many of you understand this or not. I am living proof of what I am talking about. I have come close many times to give up, but every time, the Lord is there to help me through. I wanted to share this to encourage everyone reading this, that there is hope. Never give up. We have an advocate with Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. I purposely practice every more to wake up fresh. Mercies are new every morning, so I don’t live in guilt, condemnation, or shame. My life is not my own. There is a greater purpose for why I am here. I am not after fame, fortune, or anything that this world has to offer. I just want to be the best ambassador for Christ. To please Him. It is no longer I who lives, but Christ in me.
