In the beginning, Adam was created in the likeness of God. His likeness was striped from him when he disobeyed God. Ever since then, we were all created in the image of Adam and not of God.

Genesis 5:1 This is the book of the genealogy of Adam. In the day that God created man, He made him in the likeness of GodHe created them male and female, and blessed them and called them Mankind in the day they were created. And Adam lived one hundred and thirty years, and begot a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him Seth.

Many Christians haven’t put this together yet, but being born again, you are being baptized back in His image. There is a two fold part to the baptism. The first is repentance. You turn your back on sin and move forward. By doing so through baptism, the spirit can dwell in you. The second is the baptism in the spirit. This when the holy spirit comes upon you and there is evidence of that. I hope this makes sense to you. Jesus explained this with putting new wine into new wineskins.

Romans 8:29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

Colossians 3:9 Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds, 10 and have put on the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him,

Matthew 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire.

Matthew 9:16 No one puts a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment; for the patch pulls away from the garment, and the tear is made worse. 17 Nor do they put new wine into old wineskins, or else the wineskins break, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But they put new wine into new wineskins, and both are preserved

The difference between Adam and Jesus is Adam was just a living being, Jesus is a life giving spirit. You are baptized into the Name of Jesus, inside, and you put on Jesus outside. If you don’t have the both of these, how do you pray in the Name of Jesus. It’s not magic by saying the words and something happens. Our faith is to be in the Name of Jesus, and we are to live by this faith. If you aren’t living by the Name of Jesus, then you don’t have faith in His Name. It’s faith in His Name that makes things happen. I hope you understand that in His Name is life and peace. When a bride invokes her husbands name, she has his authority. When you pray in Jesus’s Name, you have become a life giving spirit. Now you know why, “As He is so are we in this world.” Become a life giving spirit. Become one with Jesus and watch people’s lives change right before your eyes. Be blessed my friends.

1 Corinthians 15:45 And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. 46 However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual. 47 The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from heaven48 As was the man of dust, so also are those who are made of dust; and as is the heavenly Man, so also are those who are heavenly49 And as we have borne the image of the man of dustwe shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man.

1 Corinthians 6:17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.
