Those who follow Jesus know that God is with them. It’s not a building up, but settling down. We are not to fret for it’s the Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom. To us, God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. As you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. To this, you were called, not of your own will, but the will of God. If you have Christ, then live through Him.
Luke 12:32 Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.
Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
Once you figure out that God is with you, His rod and His staff comfort you. You have truly learned to deny yourself. You now have the understanding that it is no longer you who lives, but Christ in you. It is from this point that you preach the gospel, the gospel of the Kingdom. This gospel that we preach is the gospel of peace, peace between man and God. It’s of our doing, but it is the glad tidings of great joy that God tabernacles with and in His people. Jesus told His disciples, you are a disciple if you are following Him, to preach, “The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.” We preach the Kingdom because we know that God is with us just like Caleb and Joshua knew. The Kingdom is not of ourselves, it’s a gift from God. Not for us to boast, but God has prepared everything for us to walk in.
Psalms 23:4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
I hope you now understand what God has done for you and me. This is the revelation of Jesus Christ. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Be blessed, my friends.
Matthew 16:16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” 17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. 18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.
