The Fear Of The Lord

Live by Faith

Many seem to think the Lord fears to be afraid of Him, it’s not. Some think it’s a reverence of Him. They are somewhat correct. The fear of the Lord is living through Him. Jesus delighted in the fear of the Lord. “There shall come forth a Rod from the stem of Jesse, And a Branch shall grow out of his roots. The Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD. His delight is in the fear of the LORD, And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, Nor decide by the hearing of His ears; But with righteousness He shall judge the poor, And decide with equity for the meek of the earth; He shall strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He shall slay the wicked.” Look at Jesus’s life. He delighted in doing what Father had Him do, even to the point of death. The cross was a joy for Jesus, but in human terms it isn’t. Jesus didn’t live in the flesh, but in the spirit. “Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, WHO FOR THE JOY THAT WAS SET BEFORE HIM ENDURED THE CROSS, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

To live in the fear of the Lord, one has to live in the spirit. Living in the spirit is righteousness, peace, and joy. Without righteousness how can you be one with Jesus? “Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him. And John tried to prevent Him, saying, “I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?” But Jesus answered and said to him, “Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he allowed Him.” “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” “For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous.” Also, to live in the spirit we must be holy as He is Holy. “For the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.” “Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord.” “As obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy IN ALL YOUR CONDUCT, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.” Everything we do, we are to do for the glory of God. This is the fear of the Lord. “Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.

I pray the compass of your life is directed towards Father and Jesus. The path that you are on is straight and it’s for His Name’s sake. “He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness For His name’s sake.” Be blessed, my friends.
