We as Christians are to walk side by side with those who follow Jesus. Beware of whom you are walking with. If the person’s life doesn’t resemble Jesus, why are you walking with them? The message of Jesus is not a feel good message, but a message of peace. When we have peace with God, we are free from ourselves and rejoice being one with Him.

Hebrews 13:7 Remember those who led you, who spoke the word of God to you; and considering the result of their way of lifeimitate their faith.

Romans 5:1 Therefore, having been justified by faithwe have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ,

1 Corinthians 11:1 Be imitators of me, just as I also am of Christ.

1 Corinthians 6:17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.

Those who we follow along side, must also live by faith. This is why we must examine the lives of others, so we don’t become deceived. It’s not in church where we examine their lives, but everyday life. People must not be boastful; have a look at me mentality. They must be excited about Jesus, especially when no one is looking. What is done in secret will be rewarded.

Romans 1:17 For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written: “But the righteous one will live by faith.”

2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified.

Matthew 6:4 so that your charitable giving will be in secret; and your Father who sees what is done in secret will reward you.

The ones who are following Jesus live by faith. They know that without living by faith, it’s impossible to please God. To please God is to live by Him. This is why I mentioned to look at the people’s faith of whom you are following along side with. You don’t want to unequally yoked to an unbeliever. Those who confess they are sinners saved by grace are unbelievers. They don’t live by faith in God, rather faith in that they are still sinners and are never good enough for the Lord. If you follow along with them, you will become like them. Be blessed my friends.

Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

2 Corinthians 6:14 Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness15 And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? 16 And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell in them And walk among them.
I will be their God,
And they shall be My people.”

Acts 16:29 Then he called for a light, ran in, and fell down trembling before Paul and Silas. 30 And he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?31 So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.” 32 Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house. 33 And he took them the same hour of the night and washed their stripes. And immediately he and all his family were baptized34 Now when he had brought them into his house, he set food before them; and he rejoiced, having believed in God with all his household.
