How you live your life is the evidence of whom you serve, “whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness?” Calling yourself a sinner saved by grace is confessing that sin is still leading you. The evidence of sin in your life determines you are still on the path to death. Those who have chosen the narrow path which leads to righteousness call themselves the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Those who have chosen righteousness see themselves as one with Christ. They see themselves as a spirit being, not fleshly ones. Paul saw himself this way. “I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.”
I have discovered that what you hear in church is mostly not right. If Jesus is truly preached then the power of God is there as He cannot deny His Name if this is done out of the spirit. If Jesus is preached from the flesh then the power of God is not there and you only get a feel-good message, rather than a transforming one. The church is built in the spirit, not the flesh. When praying for the sick and nothing happens, you are in the flesh, rather than the spirit. The flesh cannot move the spirit, only the spirit can move the spirit. Sin cannot move sin out of someone else life. If you haven’t removed sin from your life, how in the world will you ever give life to those who need it? “Now when the Pharisees heard it they said, “This fellow does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons.” But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: “Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand. If Satan casts out Satan, he is divided against himself. How then will his kingdom stand? And if I cast out demons by Beelzebub, by whom do your sons cast them out? Therefore they shall be your judges. BUT IF I CAST OUT DEMONS BY THE SPIRIT OF GOD, SURELY THE KINGDOM OF GOD HAS COME UPON YOU.” The spirit gives life flesh profits nothing. “It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” People will blame the other person when nothing happens because they had no faith. On the contrary, it’s to be your faith in Christ from the spirit that makes things happen. Look at the man at the pool who was there for 38 years. He had no faith, and yet he was healed by Jesus. It’s not about the one receiving life, but the one who is giving life. I hope you understand now why I mentioned that not everything you hear in church is right. Most of the preaching is either organized or it’s about what the pastor went through. If he didn’t see victory, then that’s what he preaches. If he stumbles with sin, then that’s what he preaches. “Remember those who rule over you, who have spoken the word of God to you, WHOSE FAITH FOLLOW, CONSIDERING THE OUTCOME OF THEIR CONDUCT.”
I pray that your eyes be enlightened to this. There is life to those who choose to live righteously. “For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The righteous shall live by faith.“
