Who Are You?

0

How would you answer if someone came up to you and asked that question? Would you say that you are a sinner saved by grace? Would you say that you are the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus? Or would you say that you are a son of the living God? Who you are is how you perceive yourself and portray yourself to this world.

John 8:23 And He said to them, “You are from beneath; I am from above. You are of this world; I am not of this world. 24 Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for if you do not believe that I am He, you will die in your sins.” 25 Then they said to Him, “Who are You?” And Jesus said to them, “Just what I have been saying to you from the beginning. 26 I have many things to say and to judge concerning you, but He who sent Me is true; and I speak to the world those things which I heard from Him.”

The religious leaders of Jesus’s day couldn’t understand who Jesus was. Even after all the good that He had done, the religious leaders still asked Him, “Who are you?” Today, if you act, talk, and walk as Jesus did, the church people would ask you, “Who do you think you are?” It is today as it was back then. These people can’t see or understand the spirit. Jesus explained it to Nicodemus and we have the explanation in writing, but people still don’t get it. The same goes for the Holy Spirit. He resisted then as He is resisted now.

John 3:5 Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.

Until we as a church, who built are up in the spirit, begin to walk, talk, and act like Jesus, we are not Christians (Christ-like ones). If people can’t see Jesus alive and active in your life, then all you prove is He is just another dead prophet. The world doesn’t read the bible, it’s just words to them. If they see Jesus in your life, you are a Christ-like one and proclaim the resurrection of the dead, you are bringing good tidings of great joy to all who hear you. Be blessed, my friends.

1 Corinthians 12:13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free, and we were all made to drink of one Spirit.
