What Is The Most Important Thing To You

0

The Lord spoke this to me adorably many years ago. The other day though, this was brought to my attention again in an aspect that has never crossed my mind. When you look at the title, think of this statement as Jesus speaking to you as He did Peter when He asked him, “But who do you say that I am?” Now Jesus is saying to you, “What is the most important thing to you?” How would you answer that?

Matthew 16:13 When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?” 14 So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” 15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” 16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”

As you examine yourself, what is important to you, the flesh or the spirit? To be in faith is to be in the spirit. The flesh profits nothing. Our life is hidden in Christ who is in you. We are joined with Christ in the spirit. Understand now why the circumstances that come against you are of the flesh and not the spirit. Jesus said, “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.” The Kingdom of heaven suffers violence because you house that Kingdom. Violence doesn’t refer to physical violence, but physiological violence. If the enemy comes against your family, finances, or anything else that is in this world he will use it to stop the Kingdom of heaven. Now we get violent against the darkness by putting on the armor of God. We use the sword of the spirit, which is our mouth and actions, using the fruit of the spirit against the enemy. No law can stop the fruit of the spirit. I hope you understand that by using the fruit of the spirit nothing will be impossible for you.

2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified.

2 Corinthians 5:5 Now He who has prepared us for this very thing is God, who also has given us the Spirit as a guarantee. So we are always confident, knowing that while we are at home in the body we are absent from the Lord. For we walk by faith, not by sight.

Everything I have stated, I have experienced and still experiencing. None of this moves me. I choose to stay in faith in the spirit. The enemy takes a chance on you that you won’t stay in the spirit and just give in. This way he subdues you and is bound to him. If you stay steadfast in the faith you will be rewarded in due time, This reminds me of Job’s trial and all that he went through. On the other hand, if you stay in the spirit you will grow in the spirit. This is what is most important to me, staying and living in the spirit. Sometimes it can get rough and lonely, but I look to the reward. I enjoy this because I grow in the spirit and I hear Him speak to me more. You NEVER forget when He speaks to you. This increases your faith. That’s why it is written, “Faith comes by hearing, hearing the Word of Christ.” Be blessed, my friends.

Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
