This question may seem odd or peculiar to you, but what if I could prove from the scriptures that the bible is not the word of God? Would you want to know the truth? I certainly would want to know the truth as it’s the truth that sets you free.

I kept hearing people in the church and groups online say the the bible is the word of God. Ok, to know this is true, there must be a place in the scriptures that says the bible is the word of God. I looked and I couldn’t find one. But I did find something else out opening up the scriptures. It started when I came across 2 Timothy 4. One verse clearly says, “Preach the Word.” Then a thought came to me, “Was there a bible back then.” I thought, “No.” Another thought came came to me and said, “What was the Word that Paul was telling Timothy to preach?” This is where I went on a journey to search for what Paul told Timothy. What was the Word that he was to preach?

As I have been studying this out, I discovered that the early disciples weren’t preaching the bible, as it didn’t exist back then, they were preach Him that they knew is the Word, Jesus. This is why the early church was so successful at everything they did. The preached the Word made flesh. Today, most churches teach the bible as the word making the Word of God of no effect by their tradition.

Mark 7:13 making the word of God of no effect through your tradition which you have handed down. And many such things you do.

I am going to give you seven examples that the early disciples were preaching the Word (Jesus).

Acts 5:42 And daily in the temple, and in every house, they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ.

1 Corinthians 15:12 Now if Christ is preached that He has been raised from the dead, how do some among you say that there is no resurrection of the dead?

2 Corinthians 4:5 For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord, and ourselves your bondservants for Jesus’ sake.

Acts 17:3 explaining and demonstrating that the Christ had to suffer and rise again from the dead, and saying, “This Jesus whom I preach to you is the Christ.”

Philippians 1:15 Some indeed preach Christ even from envy and strife, and some also from goodwill: 16 The former preach Christ from selfish ambition, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my chains; 17 but the latter out of love, knowing that I am appointed for the defense of the gospel.

Ephesians 3:8 To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ,

2 Corinthians 11:3 But I fear, lest somehow, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, so your minds may be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted—you may well put up with it!

In other words, wherever you are attending isn’t preaching Jesus is Lord, then what is lord? Is the bible lord? Are they teaching Jesus or the bible? Yes Jesus is in the bible, but so is sin. Some churches have made sin lord because all they preach is that you are a sinner. I heard this spoken by someone and it’s so true. Going to church will not transform your life, but surrendering to Jesus does.

If Jesus was really preached in churches we wouldn’t have any denominations as the body of Christ is one body in the spirit. All authority is given to Jesus, not the bible. We don’t’ ask or pray for anyone in the name of the bible, only Jesus. If the church picks up on this, not even the gates of hates will prevail against the church.

1 Corinthians 12:12 For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ13 For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit14 For in fact the body is not one member but many.

Matthew 16:13 When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?14 So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” 15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” 17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
