There are many churches out there with different denominations. Catholics, Anglicans, Pentecostal, Baptists, Mormons etc. all trying to get you to believe that they are right. They all have a different perspective of the scriptures. What if I told you that none of them are right? What if there is hidden gems in the scriptures to show what the church really is? Would you be interesting in reading about that? I am not against any of the denominations, I am only after the truth as it’s the truth that sets you free.
So how did this all start? Ironically, the church started with a question. Matthew 16:13 When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, “Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?” 14 So they said, “Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.” 15 He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” (this is the question that started the church)16 Simon Peter answered and said, “You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” 17 Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not (this was revealed in the Spirit as the church is of the Spirit) revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven. 18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church,(the church is built on the Revelation of Jesus Christ) and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it (this Revelation). 19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” The Revelation of Jesus was rejected by the religious leaders of that day which Peter told them Acts 4:8 Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “Rulers of the people and elders of Israel: 9 If we this day are judged for a good deed done to a helpless man, by what means he has been made well, 10 let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. 11 This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’ (this is the rock (Revelation) the the church is built on) 12 Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”
Most churches say they preach the Word of God which is referring to 2 Timothy 4:2. This sounds right but are they preaching the Kingdom of God, preaching Jesus? Are they doing this from the flesh or of the Spirit? Do you see Jesus in the people and the works that Jesus did evident in the church? Are the people growing into the fullness of Christ? I ask these questions because the Lord showed me that the church is preaching the Word, the very Word satan used against Jesus. So satan used Psalm 91 against Jesus. According to the church, Jesus should have thrown Himself down as He disobeyed God’s Word. But what the Lord has taught me is that you are reading and understanding His Word to understand the voices who is speaking so I can understand when He speaks to me.
Now the word church, some of you might know, is the Greek word ekklésia. It’s a gather of people ie. assembly. My question is, what kind of people? Are these people who just go to a building to meet every Sunday or are they people of the Kingdom? When Jesus is building His church it’s of the Spirit as hades can’t prevail against the Spirit. You may ask, how does Jesus build His church in the Spirit? He baptizes you in the Holy Spirit and fire. Matthew 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. Once you are baptized in the Holy Spirit and fire, you are now in the Kingdom and living from the Kingdom. Romans 14:17 for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. I hope this blesses you. I wanted to write about something else but of course I am not in charge. Be Blessed
