The Word Made Flesh

0

John wrote, “The word made flesh,” in John 1:14. This concept of the word becoming flesh should not be foreign to us. Holy Spirit impregnated Mary to fulfill what was written in Genesis 3:15, the seed of the serpent through Adam will be separate from the seed of the woman, Jesus. Jesus is the Word made flesh. The apostles understood that the Word is Jesus. Look through epistles, preach the Word is preached Jesus. There is one more thing I want to add regarding the Word. The Word is spirit and life.

Genesis 3:14 So the Lord God said to the serpent: “Because you have done this,
You are cursed more than all cattle,
And more than every beast of the field;
On your belly you shall go,
And you shall eat dust
All the days of your life.
15 And I will put enmity
Between you and the woman,
And between your seed and her Seed;
He shall bruise your head,
And you shall bruise His heel.”

Acts 11:19 Now those who were scattered after the persecution that arose over Stephen traveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus, and Antioch, preaching the word to no one but the Jews only. 20 But some of them were men from Cyprus and Cyrene, who, when they had come to Antioch, spoke to the Hellenists, preaching the Lord Jesus.

John 6:63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.

The Word of God is not the bible, it is Jesus. Understand that the scriptures are written so we can comprehend how the early church walked with Jesus. They were persecuted for righteousness’ sake. Jesus is the only one who is righteous and we get the privilege to walk in His righteousness, referring to picking up your cross. The Word wants to become flesh again, and again, and again. Jesus was a man who was filled with the spirit. He told the religious leaders that He and His Father are one and they crucified Him for that. He proved who He was by raising him from the dead. Throughout the scriptures, God worked through someone and they rose from the dead. Elijah, Elisha, Jesus, Paul, and Peter all rose from the dead. Jesus was different. He trusted Father and it was His spirit that rose Jesus from the dead proving who Jesus was. Today He asks His disciples who we are to preach that the Kingdom of heaven is at hand. The kingdom of heaven is Christ in you the hope of glory. This hope is that you will live through Christ to bring Him glory through everything you do.

Revelation 19:11 Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war. 12 His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. He [a]had a name written that no one knew except Himself. 13 He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called The Word of God.

Romans 8:11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.

As you study the scriptures, don’t look at it as a daily devotional. It’s something that I must do every day. You don’t look at your spouse and think, “I must love them.” Come to Father with a willing heart to understand His ways. Look and see who is talking when you read. Get an understanding of what God loves and what He hates. He hates sin, He hates divorce are just a couple of things He hates. One thing that He loves is righteousness. The kingdom of heaven is built on righteousness. Jesus loved doing righteousness. You see it everywhere He went. He even got vocal with the religious leaders telling them what they weren’t doing is right in Matthew 23. The Word wants to multiply itself. We are to live by the Word, of Jesus. Jesus even told that very thing to the serpent during His temptations. We are not to live by bread alone, not by the flesh. We are to live by every Word that proceeds from the mouth of God, The Word. When we get to the point of just living by the spirit and producing 30, 60, and even 100 fold, we will finally, in the end, hear those illustrious words, “Well done good and faithful servant.” Be blessed, my friends.

Proverbs 6:16 These six things the Lord hates,
Yes, seven are an abomination to Him:
17 A proud look,
A lying tongue,
Hands that shed innocent blood,
18 A heart that devises wicked plans,
Feet that are swift in running to evil,
19 A false witness who speaks lies,
And one who sows discord among brethren.

Matthew 4:3 Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.” But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”

Mark 4:20 But these are the ones sown on good ground, those who hear the wordaccept itand bear fruit: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.”
