Many Christians who read the bible don’t understand the importance of who is speaking. The one scripture they will turn to is that all scriptures are inspired by God. This inspiration is for you to discern between good and evil. Throughout the scriptures, good and evil are reproduced over and over. It’s through the voices that will determine which way we will follow whether good or evil. Adam and Eve followed the voice of the serpent and Jesus followed Father’s voice. Remember, Jesus did say, “My sheep will hear My voice.”

John 10:27 My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. 28 And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.

If the voices that you are listening to don’t lead you on the path of righteousness for His Name’s sake, you are on the wrong path. The voices will say things that are contrary to the Word of Jesus. The voices will go as far as giving you some truth mixed with a lie. By accepting the truth and the lie together will make the word of God of no effect. Sin and righteousness cannot be mixed. The same salt water and fresh water cannot be mixed. It changes the composition to which it was created. James wrote that a double-minded man is unstable in all his ways. It’s imperative to get an understanding of whom you are listening to. It’s not just about what comes from the pulpit but comes to you from the spirit as well. John wrote, “He who as an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.”

James 1:6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

Revelation 2:29 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” ’

Understanding the voices is the most critical in our walk with the Lord. The voice deceived Adam and Eve. The voice tried to deceive Jesus and wants to deceive you. I like to use this measuring line when it comes to the voices. If the voice brings life and it more abundantly in the spirit, then it’s Jesus. If it’s steal, kill, or destroy, then it’s not from God. I want to point out one thing to you. The devil tempted Jesus with riches and glory to see if He would take them. He will do the same with you. We are not to be unaware of the enemy’s devices. He will use whoever and whatever to stop the Kingdom of heaven from coming out of you. Stay strong my friends. Be blessed.

John 10:8 All who ever came before Me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not hear them. I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture. 10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
