Since the Fall, the hearts of men have become jaded, bitter, unforgiving, and as cold as stone. God didn’t design us to be that way. He created us in His image. He wanted us to mirror Him and reflect His love and light into the world. Man became a mere shadow of what he could have been. Because of God’s love for His creation, through Jesus, His only begotten Son, He came to redeem the righteousness that man lost in the Garden of Eden. He offers us a way out through the sacrifice of His Son.
Man can not truly live with a hardened heart. He wasn’t designed for that. The heart is supposed to beat with life, not to remain stoic and cold. We often build walls around ourselves that we believe might protect us. They may help keep pain out, but what we’re really doing is isolating ourselves to where God can not touch us to heal those hurts and no one else can touch us either. We essentially build our own prisons all in the name of safety. However, living in a mausoleum is not a life; it’s death.
This book endeavors to show you how man got in this predicament and what God has done to give us a way out, so that we might have life and that more abundantly and move from an unforgiving, hardened heart to be transformed back into the image of God and live our lives as He originally intended us to.
If your circumstances have caused you to build walls to protect yourself and shield yourself away from others, this book can show you a better way through a relationship with Jesus. I pray it helps restore you back to His image and the best plan for your life.
