This coming Friday is Good Friday, but do you know how good it really is? Father showed His Glory by placing the sins of the world on Jesus. Jesus didn’t die for you, He died as you. He paid for Adam’s sin. Everyone has been born into Adam, but now everyone can be born into the Name of Jesus in the spirit.
Paul writes the Romans to be transformed into a new way of thinking of how you see yourself. Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. Paul went as far as telling the church in Ephesus to be renewed in the spirit of our mind. Ephesians 4:20 But you have not so learned Christ, 21 if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22 that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, 23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.
This war that we are in is all about how we think because out of the heart the mouth speaks. Paul understood this war. He told the Corinthians that any thought that is not of Christ you shall condemn. 2 Corinthians 19:4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled. The prophet Isaiah spoke about this as well. Isaiah 54::17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their righteousness is from Me,” Says the Lord. Anything that you confess out of your mouth is what you will become.
Your thought life is important in your transformation. How you see yourself will determine how you walk in this life. If you can’t love yourself, how do you love God when God is in you? God’s love is not determined by what man says, but only what God says!! You will know where a thought came from when you use this measuring stick that Jesus gave us. John 10:10 The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. This life that speaks, will speak in this way. 1 Corinthians 13:4 Love is patient, love is kind, it is not jealous; love does not brag, it is not arrogant. 5 It does not act disgracefully, it does not seek its own benefit; it is not provoked, does not keep an account of a wrong suffered, 6 it does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; 7 it keeps every confidence, it believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Love never fails;
How you see yourself will transform your life. Philip didn’t understand this at first. He didn’t understand that Jesus, as a man, walked with God in Him. John 14:7 “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.” 8 Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.” 9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. 11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves. Now this transformation belongs to you, if you believe! Colossians 1:27 To them God willed to make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles: which is Christ in you, the hope of glory. Romans 8:6 For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace.
