Many don’t understand what the body of Christ is. Some consider going to church as the body of Christ, but it’s not. This life in Jesus is not what He can do for us, but what we can do for Him. He wants to glorify His Name, but if it’s about you, you are taking His glory for yourself. I wouldn’t want to be in those shoes. The church would be considered, “For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.“
When we gather together, we are to share love and good works. We are to share the works that Jesus did through us. The same works and even greater works than what Jesus did. “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.” “And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.” When you are in the church do you get exhorted? Are you told to follow Jesus’s example? “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” I want what’s best for His church. He is coming back for His bride, but she isn’t ready. She hasn’t made herself ready. “Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready. And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.” You won’t be judged for what you believe, but what did you do with that belief? This is best explained in the parable of the talents. Sadly, there was one who believed and buried it in the sand and produced nothing. Use what Jesus has given you. For you will be judged by your works. “And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works.” Paul wrote about this to the church in Corinth. “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” Do you see how important it is for our assembling together is.
I pray that your eyes of understanding be enlightened to the assembling of ourselves. I want My King’s church to be ready to be received, doing what she is called to do. Be a light in a dark place. Be blessed, my friends.
