Last blog I talked to you about the trials that come against you. How, if you complain, you really empower the one who is the complainer. These test and trials shouldn’t come as a surprise to you. You might have not been told from the pulpit, but it is written in the scriptures. 1 Peter 4:12 Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; 13 but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ’s sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy. 14 If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified.
Many don’t realize that what comes against you is testing to see what kind of foundation your faith is built on. Most people, when trials hit them react in the flesh and cry out to God. What they are doing proves they really don’t trust God with ALL their heart. Matthew 7:21 “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22 Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ 24 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. 26 “But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: 27 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.” I learned this the hard way. I had a situation and cried out to God, but nothing happened. Once I started to thank Him and love on Him while still going through, things began to change in me. It’s never about changing the other person, but yourself.
Sadly many believe that the things that are happening to them are happening against them. If not much or very minimal is happening against you, then you know you really don’t have the Kingdom of God in you. You may be of the believing that your war is still against flesh and blood. My question to you is, how did you react to the trials that came? Did you want to avoid them? Did you stay and ride out the storm to see what you are really made of or did you give up and moved on to something that was more safe? Now you get the idea of what kind of house you are. Can you withstand the storms on the rock or do you just fall away like sand?
Audrey does a Great Job on discussing this. Have a Blessed Day!!
