There are many today still think that our war is against flesh and blood. It’s not! It’s a battle of ideas. Who’s way are you going to go? The way of the world or the way of Jesus? You can see the battle of good vs evil going on before us today.

This battle is about conforming to this world or conforming to the image of Jesus. As it is written, “let us make man in OUR Image.” Romans 12:1I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. When you are conforming to this world, you are bowing to the god of this world. Conforming to this world is the easiest and most comfortable way to live, but you have no reward. Paul wrote, 2 Timothy 2:3 You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. 4 No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. 5 And also if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules. 6 The hardworking farmer must be first to partake of the crops. 7 Consider what I say, and may the Lord give you understanding in all things.

When your life has been changed by Jesus, you actually act different than how the world acts. 1 Peter 4:3 For we have spent enough of our past lifetime in doing the will of the Gentiles—when we walked in lewdness, lusts, drunkenness, revelries, drinking parties, and abominable idolatries. In regard to these, they think it strange that you do not run with them in the same flood of dissipation, speaking evil of you. This life we are to live is by faith in Jesus .If you aren’t living by faith in Jesus, then you are living your faith of this world. As it is written, “the righteous shall live by faith.” If you are not righteous, then you are not living by faith in Jesus.

Question. If you are not living by faith in Jesus, what have you put your faith in?
