Here are the highlights;

Six Signs of a Rising Warrior

  1. They grow to have an innate knowledge that they were born for such a time as this.
    1. Acts 17:26-2826 And He has made from one [j]blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their preappointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, 27 so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; 28 for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, ‘For we are also His offspring.’
    2. There must be no doubt in the heart of the warrior that God will back him up
    3. You have to know the ways of God and abide consistently in Him
    4. everything about you is designed to influence
  2. They have an unfailing belief that God will prepare them. They also have the understanding that it may not be like they think it will be
    1. Only real champions can realize that God is about to call them to do something they’re totally incapable of doing
    2. Psalm 105:18-19 18 They hurt his feet with fetters,
      [a]He was laid in irons.
      19 Until the time that his word came to pass,
      The word of the Lord tested him.
    3. Moses confronted Pharoah
    4. Jacob wrestled with the Angel
    5. Joseph became a slave
    6. So that God could receive the Glory when the word came to pass
  3. They do not let life’s circumstances to dictate the future
    1. Light is greater than darkness – yes breaking of your soul
    2. Mark 8:34-35 34 When He had called the people to Himself, with His disciples also, He said to them, “Whoever desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. 35 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospel’s will save it.
    3. Matthew 26:38 38 Then He said to them, “My soul is exceedingly sorrowful, even to death. Stay here and watch with Me.”
    4. Bitterness and unforgiveness are signs of a broken soul refusing to remain broken
  4. They learn to be successful, serving another man’s vision, until their vision comes to pass
    1. Genesis 39:2-4 The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all he did [a]to prosper in his hand. So Joseph found favor in his sight, and served him. Then he made him overseer of his house, and all that he had he put [b]under his authority.
    2. a church won’t grow if there is sin in it. Joshua 7-9
    3. working for others gets your eye off of self
  5. Warriors know that when God is ready, the word will come to pass
    1. God is going to remove and expose your personal agendas and anger
    2. to the degree of your anger is to the degree of your control
    3. to the degree of your jealousy is the degree that you would take credit
  6. Real warriors have learned to wait on the Lord and Celebrate the Presence of the Lord
    1. Isaiah 25:6-10 And in this mountain
      The Lord of hosts will make for all people
      A feast of [c]choice pieces,
      A feast of [d]wines on the lees,
      Of fat things full of marrow,
      Of well-refined wines on the lees.
      And He will destroy on this mountain
      The surface of the covering cast over all people,
      And the veil that is spread over all nations.
      He will swallow up death forever,
      And the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces;
      The rebuke of His people
      He will take away from all the earth;
      For the Lord has spoken.
      1. And it will be said in that day:
        “Behold, this is our God;
        We have waited for Him, and He will save us.
        This is the Lord;
        We have waited for Him;
        We will be glad and rejoice in His salvation.”10 For on this mountain the hand of the Lord will rest,
        And Moab shall be trampled down under Him,
    2. the mountain of the Lord is the tabernacle
    3. Champions have this incredible ability to intertwine themselves in people, recognize touch points
    4. Champions gain people’s hearts
    5. We’ve got to come to a place:
  • where our sufficiency is in God and not ourselves
  • Where our confidence is not in ourselves
  • Righteousness means more to us than Grace
