Most people don’t realize that when you are going through trials you are being sifted as wheat. This will reveal what is really in your heart. Will you live out of fear or out of faith? What I find sad is that many will use excuses for their lack of faith. Many will put their faith in anything else other then Jesus. Doctors is one. God created doctors they say. Ok? Where is that in the scriptures? This is an excuse for their lack of faith. Remember, Hebrews 12:1 Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before uslooking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. So is your faith in Jesus or doctors?

When Peter was sifted as wheat, many don’t realize how he was sifted. Peter denied Jesus three times. He really got to know what was in his heart. Are you denying Jesus by accepting what doctors say? Who’s report are you believing? When you pray for someone, do things happen? Or do you use the excuse that it’s not God’s will or they just don’t have any faith? By saying those things, satan has just stolen your faith. He thanks you for your lack of faith. When Jesus prayed for them man at the pool, he didn’t even know who Jesus was and yet he got healed! The disciples learned this hard lesson. Matthew 17:14 And when they had come to the multitude, a man came to Him, kneeling down to Him and saying, 15 “Lord, have mercy on my son, for he is an epileptic and suffers severely; for he often falls into the fire and often into the water. 16 So I brought him to Your disciples, but they could not cure him.” 17 Then Jesus answered and said, “O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me.” 18 And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour. 19 Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?” 20 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. 21 However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting. There are those religious people who will dispute verse 21, but of course that they don’t have the understanding that Jesus is referring to unbelief not the spirit.

Paul understood that this sifting as wheat can be very uncomfortable. He explained it this way. 2 Corinthians 11:22 Are they Hebrews? So am I. Are they Israelites? So am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? So am I. 23 Are they ministers of Christ?—I speak as a fool—I am more: in labors more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequently, in deaths often. 24 From the Jews five times I received forty stripes minus one. 25 Three times I was beaten with rods; once I was stoned; three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I have been in the deep; 26 in journeys often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils of my own countrymen, in perils of the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; 27 in weariness and toil, in sleeplessness often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness— 28 besides the other things, what comes upon me daily: my deep concern for all the churches. 2Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is made to stumble, and I do not burn with indignation? 30 If I must boast, I will boast in the things which concern my infirmity. 31 The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who is blessed forever, knows that I am not lying. 32 In Damascus the governor, under Aretas the king, was guarding the city of the Damascenes with a garrison, desiring to arrest me; 33 but I was let down in a basket through a window in the wall, and escaped from his hands. Now Paul went through that all but HIS FAITH NEVER CHANGED. He was sifted as wheat. The evil spirits will know who you are if you stay steadfast in faith. Acts 19:13 Then some of the itinerant Jewish exorcists took it upon themselves to call the name of the Lord Jesus over those who had evil spirits, saying, “We exorcise you by the Jesus whom Paul preaches.” 14 Also there were seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did so. 15 And the evil spirit answered and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?

Your faith should be more important to you than anything else. Without it it’s impossible to please God and when Jesus does come, will He really find faith on the earth. You are saved by faith and your life lived will prove what you believe.

Your faith is what is being sifted as wheat. Everyone is given a measure of faith as a mustard seed. The more faith you have in Jesus, the more it grows. The more you complain, have doubt or unbelief, the enemy has stolen what was sown in your heart. Have faith in God. Be Blessed
