If you are walking with God and He gave you His peace, why aren’t you living in peace? “Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” Peacemakers who make peace are sons of God. “Blessed are the peacemakers, For they shall be called sons of God.” Peace is also a fruit of the spirit. So walking with God is walking in the spirit, in peace. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self–control. Against such there is no law.”
While you are walking with God, you end up growing in the spirit. Look at Moses. He was up with God for 40 days and 40 nights. After that time, his face was shown as a light. The more time you spend with God, the more you reflect on Him. “So he was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights; he neither ate bread nor drank water. And He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant, the Ten Commandments. Now it was so, when Moses came down from Mount Sinai (and the two tablets of the Testimony were in Moses’ hand when he came down from the mountain), that Moses did not know that the skin of his face shone while he talked with Him.” You can tell when people are walking with Jesus, these people have no choice but to reflect on whom they are walking with. “Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” Walking with Jesus doesn’t mean you read the bible and that is it. Faith has an action to it. That’s why faith without works is dead. Many people who go to church believe they are saved, but it’s by your actions or works that you will be judged. You will live what you believe, and your actions prove it. “And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead WERE JUDGED ACCORDING TO THEIR WORKS, by the things which were written in the books. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they WERE JUDGED, each one ACCORDING TO HIS WORKS.” This is why it’s important not only to read the bible but also living it. “You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.” The Bible leads you to know Jesus, once you know Him, you live Him so the world can see your light. “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”
I pray that your eyes of understanding be enlightened with your walk with Christ. Be blessed, my friends.
