How many of you know that Christians are on the path of righteousness? It’s not what is right in men’s eyes, but rather in God’s eyes. Also, it’s not our righteousness that we live by, but Jesus’s righteousness. It’s through His righteousness that we get our authority. We live through His righteousness representing Him, not ourselves. This is why I don’t have a ministry. What I do belongs to Jesus, not me. His ministry is called the ministry of reconciliation. “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, AND HAS GIVEN US THE MINISTRY OF RECONCILIATION, that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN HIM.” One thing I have learned; if you are not walking in the path, how do others see the path of righteousness?
Today, there is an awakening to righteousness. “Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.” This awakening has nothing to do with what you have done but what Jesus has done. When sin entered this world, condemnation entered. Look at what most churches teach. “There’s no one righteous, not one.” “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.” “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” All three of these represent condemnation. There is no freedom in Christ in these verses. “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.” Interesting that in the verses around “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,” Paul teaches righteousness before and after that verse. The devil picks out a verse to keep you in condemnation so you don’t see freedom in Christ. “But now THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD apart from the law is revealed, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, even THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD, THROUGH FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST, TO ALL AND ON ALL WHO BELIEVE. For there is no difference; or all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, BEING JUSTIFIED FREELY BY HIS GRACE THROUGH THE REDEMPTION THAT IS IN CHRIST JESUS, whom God set forth AS A PROPITIATION BY HIS BLOOD, THROUGH FAITH, to demonstrate HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, because in His forbearance GOD HAD PASSED OVER THE SINS THAT WERE PREVIOUSLY COMMITTED, to DEMONSTRATE at the present time HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS, that HE MIGHT BE JUST AND THE JUSTIFIER OF THE ONE WHO HAS FAITH IN JESUS.” Paul tells the Romans, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it (The Gospel) THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IS REVEALED FROM FAITH TO FAITH; as it is written, “THE RIGHTEOUS SHALL LIVE BY FAITH.” He also tells the Corinthians, “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN HIM.” Peter also talks about this righteousness. “who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, MIGHT LIVE FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS––by whose stripes you were healed. For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.”
I hope I guided you to “THE PATH OF RIGHTEOUSNESS for His name sake.” Be blessed, my friends
