If you are still living from the flesh then you are still married to sin. Living from the spirit, you divorce sin and are married to another, righteousness. Which husband are you listening too, your flesh or spirit? Paul explains this using husband and wife are one in the flesh. If you live from the flesh then you are still united to sin. If you live from the spirit then you are untied to another and are one spirit with Him.
Romans 6:13 And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.
Ephesians 5:31 For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.
1 Corinthians 6:15 Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not! 16 Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For “the two,” He says, “shall become one flesh.” 17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.
If you are waiting for a point of time to be united with Jesus, you are the one who buried their talent in the sand. If you believe about waiting to be joined to Jesus in the air and not joined with Jesus on the earth then you are listening to doctrines of demons. If you don’t believe that you are joined with Jesus now, then you don’t believe the scriptures. I guess Paul should have never wrote that you are one with Jesus in the spirit. Are you believing what people say or the scriptures?
Matthew 25:26 “But his lord answered and said to him, ‘You wicked and lazy servant, you knew that I reap where I have not sown, and gather where I have not scattered seed. 27 So you ought to have deposited my money with the bankers, and at my coming I would have received back my own with interest. 28 So take the talent from him, and give it to him who has ten talents. 29 ‘For to everyone who has, more will be given, and he will have abundance; but from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away. 30 And cast the unprofitable servant into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’
The parable of the virgins is a good example of this. 5 were wise and 5 were foolish. The wise had oil for themselves preparing for the coming of the bridegroom. The unwise did not prepare themselves. When the bridegroom arrived the wise had prepared themselves for His coming, but the unwise were not. The unwise remind me of people who are waiting for the Lord, but haven’t prepared for His coming. The wise have taken what the bridegroom has given them, gone out and planted more seed, which is the spirit to increase what they have for the coming of the bridegroom. The oil in the lamp represents the spirit. As you go out and plant seeds which is Jesus, you increase all the more. Those who don’t plant seed will have no oil for their lamps. It is written, “For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life ” Galatians 6:8. It is written elsewhere, “Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready. And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints” Revelation 19:7-8.
Matthew 25:6 “And at midnight a cry was heard: ‘Behold, the bridegroom is coming; go out to meet him!’ 7 Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps. 8 And the foolish said to the wise, ‘Give us some of your oil, for our lamps are going out.’ 9 But the wise answered, saying, ‘No, lest there should not be enough for us and you; but go rather to those who sell, and buy for yourselves.’ 10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut. 11 “Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ 12 But he answered and said, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, I do not know you.’ 13 “Watch therefore, for you know neither the day nor the hour in which the Son of Man is coming.
Are you ready?
