There is no condemnation for those who live according to the spirit and not the flesh. All of us have been trained by our flesh our entire lives. Jesus comes along and changes that. We begin a new and living way when we walk together with Jesus in the spirit. By doing so, we are a new creature, old things have passed away, and behold all things have become new.
Romans 8:1 Therefore there is now no condemnation at all for those who are in Christ Jesus. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death.
This new and living way isn’t about you anymore. Selfishness died when Jesus moved in. Denying yourself is the process of removing selfishness from our lives. When we live for others, Jesus lives through us. Jesus isn’t for us when we think for ourselves. We must have our minds renewed in the spirit to think like Jesus. We do have the mind of Christ. Some might think that this is blaspheme, but I assure you that this is not. They crucified Jesus for claiming He is the Son of God. The same religious people today will go after you if you talk, and walk as a son of God.
Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, 6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, 7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men.
Life and peace are in the spirit. If you want to live by the cares of this world or the deceitfulness of riches then that’s your choice. Those are very heavy yokes to put on yourself when freedom is in Christ. I am not here to tell you what to do, but show you that there is a more excellent way. Be blessed, my friends.
