Have you ever encountered Jesus Peace? Has there ever been a situation in your life where you know of how you would react but you act the total opposite? Is there a time when everyone around you can’t understand why you are still the same way and haven’t changed to be like them? Well it has been this way for me for the last 7 years when my wife and I have been separated. I made a covenant before God in which I will NEVER break. The world teaches that you to just get a divorce and move on but this is the hardness of heart of men. Matthew 19:7 They said to Him, “Why then did Moses command to give a certificate of divorce, and to put her away?” 8 He said to them, “Moses, because of the hardness of your hearts, permitted you to divorce your wives, but from the beginning it was not so. Yes, you can divorce for sexual immortality, but this does harden your heart. Have you noticed that when you made that covenant before God it was for better, or for worse, in sickness and in health till death do you part. Sexual immorality is not on that list. If you can’t stand by your word you made here, how do you expect God to work through you. Your words will have no power when you can’t even stand by what you have committed too.
John 14:27 Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. You know that Jesus started out as the Prince of Peace, right? Isaiah 9:6 For unto us a Child is born, Unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. When He had grown, He became the King of Peace. Hebrews 6:19 This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, 20 where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek 1 For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the Most High God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him, 2 to whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all, first being translated “king of righteousness,” and then also king of Salem, meaning “king of peace,” 3 without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like the Son of God, remains a priest continually.
What I find fascinating is that when you connect the dots, Jesus being the King of Righteousness and the King of Peace, He is the King of the Kingdom as it is written Romans 14:17 for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. I just love it when you find out who Jesus really is and you get to live in Him. You get to live in His Righteousness when you are in Him. You get to live in His peace when you live in Him. When you are living in Jesus, you are actually putting Him on. Once you have put Him on you will never again suffer from depression, anxiety etc. as these come from the world. If you are, how is this getting through the shield of faith? Is your faith in Jesus of the flesh or the Spirit? Depression and anxiety is of the flesh not the Spirit.
Have you ever noticed how each epistle starts or ends with peace and one says it the middle?
