One thing that you will learn as you walk with Jesus, mercy triumphs over judgment. Once you understand this concept, you will see greater things in your life. Jesus loves mercy. Look at what most said when they came to Him. “When Jesus departed from there, two blind men followed Him, crying out and saying, “Son of David, HAVE MERCY ON US!” And when He had come into the house, the blind men came to Him. And Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to Him, “Yes, Lord.” Then He touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith let it be to you.” It’s never what people have done. If that were the case, you couldn’t be saved, but Jesus had mercy on you. “This is a faithful saying and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief. However, FOR THIS REASON, I OBTAINED MERCY, that in me first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who are going to believe on Him for everlasting life.”
Jesus told us to learn about mercy. “When Jesus heard that, He said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick. But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.” Many haven’t learned mercy. Jesus was asked, “who is my neighbor,” He used the parable of the good Samaritan. “But he, wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” Jesus showed in the parable that mercy is loving your neighbor as yourself. “So which of these three do you think was neighbor to him who fell among the thieves?” And he said, “HE WHO SHOWED MERCY ON HIM.” Then Jesus said to him, “GO AND DO LIKEWISE.” While you are walking with Jesus, it’s His goodness and mercy that follows you and you get to give it away. “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life, And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever.” Mercy is loving your neighbor as yourself. “For judgment is without mercy to the one who has shown no mercy. Mercy triumphs over judgment.” “Blessed are the merciful, For they shall obtain mercy.” Loving your neighbor is loving yourself. “For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets.”
I pray that the eyes of your understanding be enlightened to having mercy. Mercy is having compassion and forgiving what others have done to you. This is the freest place to live. Be blessed, my friends.
