Peter wrote this in 1 Peter 4:8 reminding everyone that it’s God’s Love that covers sins. This is why Father sent His Son into the world to reconcile the world back to Himself through the blood of Jesus. What great news! There are many in church circles who don’t believe this even though they call themselves believers. These are those who believe they are saved, but as long as they are in the flesh, they are still sinner calling themselves sinners saved by grace. This is so far from the truth, but trying to explain it to them is like convincing an elephant who has been chained for years that their chain is broken; they are free, but in their minds, they are not.
1 Peter 4: 8 And above all things have fervent love for one another, for “love will cover a multitude of sins.”
2 Corinthians 5: 18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. 21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
My question to all those people who think this way, who told you that you are a sinner saved by grace? 1 John 1:7-8 is clear that the blood cleanses you of ALL sin, but if you say you don’t need this redemption, or Jesus (the blood), then you deceive yourself and the truth is not in you. 1 John 1:8 doesn’t say that you will always be a sinner! Here’s another question for this line of thinking, the New Covenant, God says He will remember your sins no more, proving that you don’t call yourself a sinner after you have repented. Why I continuously bring this up in blogs is the fact that the devil has convinced these people that the blood isn’t strong enough to cleanse them of sin while now making the word of God of no effect by this tradition. They wonder why they see some moves of God through their lives, and some not at all. I am not here to bring condemnation on people, but I am here to represent the Kingdom of my Father and being a sinner saved by grace doesn’t represent the Kingdom!
1 John 1:7 But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from ALL SIN. 8 If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
Hebrews 10:16 “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them,” 17 then He adds, “Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” 18 Now where there is remission of these, there is no longer an offering for sin.
Mark 7:13 making the word of God of no effect through your tradition which you have handed down. And many such things you do.
One more thing, no where do I read that we are sinners saved by grace. This is a tradition that has been handed down making the church weak.
Ephesians 2:1 And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, 2 in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, 3 among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others. 4 BUT GOD, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, 5 even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), 6 and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
Jesus is the most amazing person I know. His love is unconditional. Without love, you have no faith, as faith works through love. By accepting God’s forgiveness for your sins, you are accepting His Love. By doing this, you get to go and love others just as He has loved you. It’s all about love, without it, you are nothing. Love is not a confession, but a relationship. God wants us back into His image and His image is Love. I want us all to grow up into Christ as Paul wrote. Can you imagine if the entire church throughout the world got a hold of this, and walked out in love showing the world God’s glory, this world would be a different place. For those who don’t know what God’s glory is, it’s His goodness. That’s why Jesus went around doing good, showing God’s glory
Acts 10:37 that word you know, which was proclaimed throughout all Judea, and began from Galilee after the baptism which John preached: 38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him. 39 And we are witnesses of all things which He did both in the land of the Jews and in Jerusalem, whom they killed by hanging on a tree. 40 Him God raised up on the third day, and showed Him openly, 41 not to all the people, but to witnesses chosen before by God, even to us who ate and drank with Him after He arose from the dead. 42 And He commanded us to preach to the people, and to testify that it is He who was ordained by God to be Judge of the living and the dead. 43 To Him all the prophets witness that, through His name, whoever believes in Him will receive remission of sins.”
Exodus 33:18 And he said, “Please, show me Your glory.” 19 Then He said, “I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.”
