When Jesus spoke this in John 10:10, He wasn’t referring to life as you see it in this world, but life in the spirit. For those who are born again by water and spirit, it’s through the spirit where life is. Being born again of water is the baptism of repentance which is the forgiveness of sins. Sadly most churchgoers don’t believe this, calling themselves sinners. Jesus knows that the flesh is corrupt. That’s why those who are born again in the spirit of the Kingdom will reap eternal life. To be born again in the spirit is either by the laying on of hands by someone who has the Kingdom, or the Word of God spoken over you, and the spirit falls upon you from heaven.
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Galatians 6:8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.
This life in the spirit isn’t for everyone. On earth, some are sons of the disobedient one, and sons of the Kingdom. From the flesh, you can’t tell which is which, but from the spirit, you can. It’s from the spirit that you can discern between the two. Even if you have the spirit of God in you, you still have to choose where you want to live. Are you going to live through your flesh which you have done since you came into this world, or are you going to live through the spirit? In other words, living through the spirit is living a new way of life, the new man. Living from the flesh profits you nothing. Living in the spirit is life and peace. Romans 8:2 is my the life verse by which I live. It’s from the spirit if you choose to have life and it more abundantly.
Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
John 6:63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.
Romans 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.
Jesus is the door to this exquisite life in the spirit. Your flesh will hate it, but if you want to walk in the ways of the Kingdom you have to choose. Living through the flesh is death, but living through the spirit is life. Choose which way, steal, kill, destroy, or live, and it more abundantly. Be blessed, my friends
