As we walk with the Lord, we are being tested to see where our loyalty lies. One thing that I have not read in the scriptures, but the Lord spoke to me about is the lessons learned from the tests. When you take a test, it’s to see what you have learned. If you don’t learn from the test, you get to take it over and over until you pass. Some may now understand why they struggle with the same thing. It’s there for you to have victory over.
James 1:12 Blessed is the man who endures temptation; for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love Him.
It gets frustrating when you are living groundhog day for years. It’s the same struggles, the same situations, and you seem to think you will never get over this hump. That is what the devil wants you to think. He wants you to give up. He doesn’t want you to pursue Jesus and follow His example. Because if you did, you would become a son of the living God like He is. To become a son of the living God is to be in His image. Jesus was the first in God’s image. If you become like Jesus, you will be in God’s image.
1 Corinthians 11:1 Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.
Colossians 1:15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
My advice to you is to walk with Jesus through the tests. He is there to help you through. If you don’t walk with Him or even ask Him, how then will you ever have victory in the test? This is how you learn from the lessons. Most importantly, He wants you to be like Him, and He will help you, but you are the one that has to want it from your heart, not your head. You can confess that Jesus is Lord all you want until you live it, you don’t believe it. Be blessed, my friends
1 Corinthians 10:13 No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it.
1 Peter 1:6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials, 7 that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ, 8 whom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, 9 receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls.
