You will know when the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. When the Holy Spirit is outpouring, people will begin to speak in new tongues, people will be healed, every sin exposed, and nothing can stop the Kingdom. Look at the first outpouring in the upper room. All 120 were baptized into the Holy Spirit. Tongues of fire were on them as everything was in them, and whatever they had done was being burned up. From there, the Kingdom grew. “Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.” Saying a prayer is not the way to enter the Kingdom, baptism is. Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.”
Once you have received the Holy Spirit, Jesus instructs you to preach the good news of the gospel by telling people, “The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.“ “And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.” What did you receive? You received mercy, so go and do the same to others. Doing so is loving your neighbor as yourself. Jesus explained this in the parable of the good Samaritan. Jesus was asked, “And behold, a certain lawyer stood up and tested Him, saying, “Teacher, what shall I do to inherit eternal life?” He said to him, “What is written in the law? What is your reading of it?” So he answered and said, “‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind,’ and ‘your neighbor as yourself.’” And He said to him, “You have answered rightly; do this and you will live.” But he, wanting to justify himself, said to Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” Jesus explained that loving your is having mercy on Him.” So which of these three do you think was neighbor to him who fell among the thieves?” And he said, “He who showed mercy on him.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.” Having mercy on people is proclaiming the gospel of the Kingdom. It’s not you who heals people, but the Kingdom in you who does the work. “Blessed are the merciful, For they shall obtain mercy.” “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me All the days of my life; And I will dwell in the house of the LORD Forever.” If God’s goodness led you to repent, then you should live by that goodness; showing and telling others of His goodness. “Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?” We should all rejoice when someone has the goodness of God. They found the Kingdom. “What man of you, having a hundred sheep, if he loses one of them, does not leave the ninety–nine in the wilderness, and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? And when he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. And when he comes home, he calls together his friends and neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’ I say to you that likewise there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety–nine just persons who need no repentance.”
I pray that the eyes of your understanding be enlightened to the ways of the Kingdom. You will know if someone is preaching the Kingdom or not. Be blessed, my friends.
