Many believe that Jesus came as a man, but was also God here on earth. That statement is far from the truth. If Jesus came as a man and God, you can not be saved! God cannot pay for the price to what man did in the garden, disobeying God. Jesus came here on earth as a man to show us what it is like to walk with God here on earth. 1 John 4:1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 By this you know the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, 3 and every spirit that does not confess that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is not of God. And this is the spirit of the Antichrist, which you have heard was coming, and is now already in the world.
One thing that intrigues me, when Jesus was tempted by Satan, Satan didn’t know who Jesus was. Even Jesus’ Name didn’t move Satan. What I mean by that is Satan wasn’t even afraid of Jesus then, but they freaked out when they realized who He really is.
The hint to Jesus walking on earth as a man and not God is in fact of what Jesus said. If Jesus was God walking here on earth, then He would have walked in His own authority, but He didn’t. John 12:49 For I have not spoken on My own authority; but the Father who sent Me gave Me a command, what I should say and what I should speak. When Jesus came, He could only do what His Father was doing and saying what He was saying. Jesus was opening the door for us to fellowship with Him just like He fellowships with Father. Jesus prayed this for us. John 17:20 “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; 21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. 22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: 23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.
Jesus was a man filled with God. He died on the cross to remove what was killing us, sin, so we can be filled with God as well. 2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified. Jesus had to become just like us to remove sin from us. Hebrews 2:14 Inasmuch then as the children have partaken of flesh and blood, He Himself likewise shared in the same, that through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, 15 and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. 16 For indeed He does not give aid to angels, but He does give aid to the seed of Abraham. 17 Therefore, in all things He had to be made like His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people. 18 For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted.
This is the greatest gift anyone could ever receive, that someone else pays for your life so you can live. This is the gospel of the Kingdom. This is the good tidings of great joy. 1 Peter 2:24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed. Now we get to do greater works than Jesus did! John 14:12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. What was Jesus works? Acts 10:38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.
This blog is to reveal to you that Jesus, as a man filled with God, can walk here on this earth. The disciples didn’t understand this while they walked with Him. You being filled with God and walking with God is the GREATEST threat to the kingdom of darkness. Your name will be added to this list. Acts 19:15 And the evil spirit answered and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?”
One more thing. Have you noticed name changes in the Bible? Abram became Abraham, Sari became Sarah, Jacob became Israel, Saul became Paul, Simon became Peter, but there is another name change that no one that I know of has picked up. The Word of God had His name changed to Jesus. Before Jesus came on earth, His name was not Jesus. John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. 4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. It is this verse that woke me up to this. 1 John 5:7 For there are three that bear witness in heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one. This verse has been omitted in some versions of the Bible, but it’s there in the original Greek.
Be Blessed my friends
