In my walk with the Lord, this is the most important. I make this bold statement because when you read my Fathers Word (The Bible), He continues to say throughout His Word, “Obey the voice of the Lord.” How can you obey His voice if you don’t know what He is like? There are many voice’s out there talking to you but you must use discernment to know who is speaking to you.

There are many Bible teacher’s out there who teach the Bible but don’t help their students with discernment. Let me give you a great example of what I am talking about. In Matthew 4, the devil uses the very Word of my Father against Jesus.. The devil knows my Father’s Word and he will use it against you. Let’s look at Matthew 4. Matthew 4:5 Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to Him, “If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: ‘He shall give His angels charge over you,’ and, ‘In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.’ ” Jesus said to him, “It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God.’ ” So we see here that the devil used Psalm 91 against Jesus and he will do the same thing to you. Paul did say 2 Corinthians 2:11 lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices. Do you think that the devil uses this same device against you?

Let’s look at this very device the devil uses against you. So many Pastors / teachers would say that you are still sinners. Who’s voice is this? Is this voice using the Word of my Father against you? Is this guilt, condemnation and shame? Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and deathFor what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the fleshthat the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit. For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the SpiritFor to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peaceBecause the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God. Is this voice of Pastor / teachers still telling born again believers that sin has dominion over them? Romans 6:14 For sin shall not have dominion over you, for you are not under law but under grace. John 1:17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

Jesus is our Great Sheppard and His sheep knows His voice and they will follow no other. This statement is all about relationship. In a relationship there is a time for talking and a time for listening. Many of you may say, “I don’t hear Him.” “He doesn’t speak to me.” If you are having a conversation with a person and that person says to you, “I can’t hear you” or “are You speaking to me?” Is this about the person who is speaking or about the person who isn’t hearing? Jesus is always speaking, it’s all about your listening. I am being reminded of this Mark 4:19 and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful. You understand that His voice is the Word? You understand that His Word is of the Spirit and to hear Him you must be in the Spirit? John 6:63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.

Now I want to share a video with you that has blessed me. This is Pastor Dan Mohler. After watching this video, you will begin to understand the wisdom of God regarding the voices.
