For those who have chosen Jesus as Christ, your relationship with Jesus is the point of attack of the enemy. Take a look at everything that has come against you. The enemy sets up circumstances that separate you from Jesus. Even to the point of questioning Jesus. The enemy will try to destroy your relationships with people that are the closest to you, to destroy you. His hatred for you, that you have chosen Jesus rather than him is his point of contention. “Assuredly, I say to you, among those born of women there has not risen one greater than John the Baptist; but he who is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he. And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.”
In our relationship with Jesus, trust must be the primary cause. Jesus said, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” Jesus overcame the world and when we decide to live in Christ we overcome the world as well. “For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world––our faith.” Our faith in Jesus is the point of attack If the enemy can separate you from Christ, he has victory over you. Jesus can’t be separated from you, but you can be separated from Him. Whatever happens to you, don’t let your relationship with Jesus be hindered as He is your strength. Use what comes against you to grow in Christ. Overcome the evil that comes against you with good. “Not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing.” “Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” Take a look at Matthew 14. After Jesus’s cousin had his head chopped off, Jesus didn’t respond to this but went and prayed. He stayed in the spirit, and after this, He fed 5000 men and walked on water. The enemy was trying to get Jesus out of His relationship with His Father. This is the very thing the enemy is trying to do to us.
I pray that the eyes of your understanding be enlightened regarding your relationship with Jesus. Let nothing separate you from Him. Be blessed, my friends.
