The church is to built on the faith in Jesus Christ. When Paul was excited that faith was growing in the church, he made this statement; Romans 1:8 First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world. Do you see faith growing where you are? Do you see the works of Jesus being done? Remember what James wrote; James 2:17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. Is your faith dead or alive?
Where you put your focus on is what you put your faith in. Look at the parable of the sower explained. Your faith is to be in Jesus as he brought the kingdom of God hear on earth. When you hear the word of this good news of the Kingdom, see how the enemy fights your faith so it doesn’t take root. Matthew 13:18 “Therefore hear the parable of the sower: 19 When anyone hears the word of the kingdom, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is he who received seed by the wayside. 20 But he who received the seed (the word) on stony places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy; 21 yet he has no root in himself, but endures only for a while. For when tribulation or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles. 22 Now he who received seed among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches choke the word, and he becomes unfruitful. 23 But he who received seed on the good ground is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and produces: some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”
Here is something for you to ponder. When you look at Jesus’ life, many followed Him because they where following His faith. Many were going after the disciples because of their faith. Acts 5:12 And through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people. And they were all with one accord in Solomon’s Porch. 13 Yet none of the rest dared join them, but the people esteemed them highly. 14 And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women, 15 so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them. 16 Also a multitude gathered from the surrounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed.
What I see today is that people are hungry for God and will go wherever He is working through. Look at all the outpowering of the Holy Spirit. Azusa street, Brownsville, Toronto. People from all over the world are going where God is. There is a remnant that refuses to bow it’s knee to sin (god of this world). These are the ones that this last outpowering are going to be worked through. I pray that this touches your heart and increases your faith and hunger for the Righteousness of God.
