The grace that we have comes through Jesus. Did you know most of the epistles that are written have an opening greeting that reads, “Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ?” Grace and peace are tied together. Without grace, there is no peace, peace with God. The angels proclaimed peace with the man when the Messiah was born. We are to proclaim or preach the gospel of peace. Grace is the undeserving favor of God. Jesus grew in favor/grace with God and man. When we receive God’s grace, we will grow in favor/grace as well. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.
Luke 2:13 And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: 14 “Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!”
Romans 10:15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace,
Who bring glad tidings of good things!”
When an individual receives God’s message, His Word, it enters their heart. The person can either accept this message and be born again or reject the message. Saying a prayer won’t save you. You are still born into Adam instead of being born into Christ. It’s a new and living way. Jesus explained this with wine and wineskins. You can’t put Holy Spirit into Adam, but you can put Holy Spirit into Christ. Being born again you are a new creation, old things have passed away, behold, all things have become new. Water baptism is a baptism of repentance. With repentance is the removal of sin. It’s up to us to live this new way, the way of Christ. He has done everything for you to have victory over sin. Now you just have to believe that.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
If we can learn to live in this place of undeserved favor, it’s a humbling of ourselves so we can grow in favor/grace with God and man. Undeserved favor is not condemnation. It’s a place of growing with Jesus and becoming one with Him. I hope that this has blessed you as it has blessed me. Be blessed, my friend.
Galatians 6:8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. 9 And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.
