In a relationship with Jesus, you don’t give up part of you, you give up all of you. In your love relationship with your spouse, do you give all of yourself or part? Relationships today that are based on a world thinking is a 50/50 relationship. Truly you are not all in. Hold back 50% from your spouse reveals that you really don’t love the person. This is a selfish type of relationship. It’s not about what I can do for you, but what will you do for me. People wonder why divorce is so prominent in society today. If your spouse does something evil against you, can you still love them? Is this really only about your well being, or is there a greater purpose in the relationship. This is a great test to whether you are really in love, or if this is just a fleshly thing. Love doesn’t count a suffered wrong, love doesn’t seek it’s own. Are you in it for you or love?
1 Corinthians 13:4 Love is patient, love is kind, it is not jealous; love does not brag, it is not arrogant. 5 It does not act disgracefully, it does not seek its own benefit; it is not provoked, does not keep an account of a wrong suffered, 6 it does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; 7 it keeps every confidence, it believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Love never fails;
Do you treat the Lord Jesus the same way? Are you 1/2 in or all in? Is it about what Jesus can do for you, or what can you do for Him? The two greatest questions where asked on the day of Pentecost. What does this mean and what must I do? Notice it wasn’t about what can Jesus do for me. If He really loved me, He would do this or that? He already loves you by dying on a cross and saving you from sin. It’s up to you to believe that. Sin is what separates you from Him and He came to remove that. Now it’s up to you to receive it.
Acts 2:12 So they were all amazed and perplexed, saying to one another, “Whatever could this mean?”
Acts 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?”
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
When you give Jesus all of you, He give you all of Him. The question to you is, are you willing to give everything up for the Kingdom or are you keeping something back just in case this doesn’t work? Are you all in?
Acts 5:1 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession. 2 And he kept back part of the proceeds, his wife also being aware of it, and brought a certain part and laid it at the apostles’ feet. 3 But Peter said, “Ananias, why has satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back part of the price of the land for yourself? 4 While it remained, was it not your own? And after it was sold, was it not in your own control? Why have you conceived this thing in your heart? You have not lied to men but to God.”
I pray that each and every one of you who read this is aal in. Be blessed my friends
