Feeding on His faithfulness is something that is not commonly discussed, even though faithfulness is a fruit of the spirit. You will grow in the spirit if you continue to feed on His faithfulness. As the Psalmist said, “Trust in the LORD, and do good; Dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness.” How many of us have heard of His faithfulness declared in church? “I have not hidden Your righteousness within my heart; I have declared Your faithfulness and Your salvation; I have not concealed Your lovingkindness and Your truth From the great assembly.” One Psalm, Psalm 89, has the word “Faithfulness” mentioned 6 times.
Since faithfulness is a fruit of the spirit, and you continue in faithfulness to the Lord, your faith grows. This particular action is referred to as sowing and reaping. “Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life. And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” All of the fruit of the spirit is an action. Now you know why it is written, “You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thornbushes or figs from thistles? Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits you will know them.” If you continue in His faithfulness, you are living in the spirit. “If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.”
I hope this helps you in your walk with the Lord. “Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: “The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” Be blessed, my friends
