How you see yourself and others will determine how you live. Examine your life. Look at where you are. Is what you wanted? Is this the journey you wanted for your life? Who is the one directing your ship called life? Is it God, government, work, or even other people? What you give yourself to is what you become.
Darkness is sin and light is God. “This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all.” You are to let your light so shine before men. “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Jesus went around doing good works. “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.” Many didn’t believe in Jesus. “Then He began to rebuke the cities in which most of His MIGHTY WORKS had been done, because they did not repent: “Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the MIGHTY WORKS which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes. But I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon in the day of judgment than for you. And you, Capernaum, who are exalted to heaven, will be brought down to Hades; for if the MIGHTY WORKS which were done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day. But I say to you that it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom in the day of judgment than for you.” Jesus did the works His Father told Him to do. “But I have a greater witness than John’s; for the works which the Father has given Me to finish––the very works that I do––bear witness of Me, that the Father has sent Me. And the Father Himself, who sent Me, has testified of Me. You have neither heard His voice at any time, nor seen His form. But you do not have His word abiding in you, because whom He sent, Him you do not believe. You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me. But you are not willing to come to Me that you may have life.” You have been saved from sin so you can do the works God has prepared for you beforehand. “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are HIS WORKMANSHIP, CREATED IN CHRIST JESUS FOR GOOD WORKS, which GOD PREPARED BEFOREHAND THAT WE SHOULD WALK IN THEM.”
I pray that the eyes of your understanding be enlightened to how you see. “The lamp of the body is the eye. If therefore your eye is good, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eye is bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in you is darkness, how great is that darkness!” Be blessed, my friends.
