As we partner up with the Lord, we build our strength in Him. This partnering is the foundation of Christianity. You can’t build a relationship without partnering up with the other person. Any house that is built on a poor foundation will crumble. One build on a solid foundation will never be moved. How is your relationship with Jesus? Is it a partnership or is it a get-out-of-hell-free card?
Matthew 7:24 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. 26 “But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: 27 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.”
A partnership of love can never be moved. If your relationship with someone is love and yet you can be moved out of love for that person, was that relationship love then? 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 discusses that love does not count as suffering wrong. Even going as far as not seeking your own. If you don’t lay your life down for someone by helping them out regardless of what they have done to you, then you don’t know love. Beware of the feelings of love. Love is compassionate, abounding in mercy, and always revealing the truth of Jesus Christ. When Jesus was confronted with the question, “Who is my neighbor?” He revealed that it’s showing mercy is loving your neighbor.
Luke 10:36 So which of these three do you think was neighbor to him who fell among the thieves?” 37 And he said, “He who showed mercy on him.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.”
I hope you all build yourself up in the Lord and the power of His might. Without Him, it’s impossible to have victory over your circumstances. With Him, all things are possible. Be blessed, my friends.
Philippians 4:13 I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.
