There is something very interesting coming to me as I begin to write this blog. Do we really have faith in Jesus, or faith in our own faith? Many people really give up easily on the things they have faith for but when nothing happen, they always seem to use the scapegoat, “I guess it’s not God’s will.” If you want to see what God’s will looks like, look at Jesus. He did God’s will. If you haven’t seen what Jesus did through your life, you get the privilege to grow into Him. If you use the quote that I used earlier, your faith is dead right from the start as you have given up on Jesus. That may sound like a strong statement, but it is true. John 14:12 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father. There are others who brush off faith when they say, “That was for the Apostles.” or . “The gifts died with the Apostles.” These are both copouts and these people wonder why Jesus won’t use them in their lives. They have no faith.

I am using harsh words here to try to wake people up that the devil is undressing you and quenching your faith. You don’t want to be the person who buried your faith in the sand and when the master comes, He will question you with, “What did you do with your faith?’ Everyone has been given a measure of faith. Romans 12:3 For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. I want to give you an example of the shield of faith. When a situation arises in your life such as losing your job, like I am about to do. Am I to cry out to God and complain to Him asking, why would you let this happen? I thought you loved me? How am I going to pay these bills? I am going to lose everything, help me! Now let me ask you, does any of these statements have any faith at all? What you are saying to the entire spirit realm that I have no faith and if you hit me like this, you will destroy my life. So, how do you answer in such a circumstance? Father, I thank you that you love me. I thank you that you have a purpose in this situation. Show me what that is as this situation will NEVER jeopardize our relationship. I thank you that a door closes, a door will open. Thank you for your faithfulness. I know You, You are up to something, and I am grateful for what that is. Thank you Father. Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Now, if you do that, Father will bless your faith. Matthew 15:21 Then Jesus went out from there and departed to the region of Tyre and Sidon. 22 And behold, a woman of Canaan came from that region and cried out to Him, saying, “Have mercy on me, O Lord, Son of David! My daughter is severely demon-possessed.” 23 But He answered her not a word. And His disciples came and urged Him, saying, “Send her away, for she cries out after us.” 24 But He answered and said, “I was not sent except to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” 25 Then she came and worshiped Him, saying, “Lord, help me!” 26 But He answered and said, “It is not good to take the children’s bread and throw it to the little dogs.” 27 And she said, “Yes, Lord, yet even the little dogs eat the crumbs which fall from their masters’ table.” 28 Then Jesus answered and said to her, “O woman, great is your faith! Let it be to you as you desire.” And her daughter was healed from that very hour.

Many don’t realize how important faith really is! Peter described how important it is this way. 1 Peter 1:6 In this you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be, you have been grieved by various trials7 that the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire, may be found to praise, honor, and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christwhom having not seen you love. Though now you do not see Him, yet believing, you rejoice with joy inexpressible and full of glory, receiving the end of your faith—the salvation of your souls. The Apostle John spoke of faith in this way. 1 John 5:4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.
