Have you ever wondered why you need to be born again? Or why is this significant in my Christian walk? One of the greatest question was asked in the day of Pentecost. What does this mean? Let’s look at this and what does it mean.

Most people believe that we are all created in God’s Image as it is written in Genesis 1:26. This is true. We were created in God’s Image but we are no longer in His Image. We were in His image until Adam ate of the tree and now that image is lost. You might think that this seems far fetched? But it’s not. When you came into this world, you were born in the image of Adam. Genesis 5:3 And Adam lived one hundred and thirty years, and begot a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him Seth.

Adam was never going to die as Father said to him Genesis 2:17 but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die. But when Adam ate of the tree he didn’t die. Because sin separates you from Father, you will eventually die just like Adam did. You are not only separated from Father in the flesh but also in the Spirit as you have been born into Adam’s image. Father is Spirit and it’s His Image we must seek. To receive His Image, you must be born again (born into His Image) which fulfills all righteousness in which Jesus declared. (On a side note, their are churches that teach there is no one righteous, not one, quoting Romans 3:10. Not reading the rest of the verses to show what this means. But more important, not adding the beginning part of the verse. “As it is written.” I want to know where it is written to get the context to which it is written. This is referring to Psalm 14 and Psalm 53. So if no one is righteous, then what are you born into if you are born again?)

When you look at the blood line of Jesus, it goes all they way back to Adam. This is why Jesus died, He paid the price for what Adam did. The blood-line is perfect and the sacrifice is perfect. Now instead of us being born of Adam, we are now born again into Jesus. This gives us the citizenship of Heaven. With this citizenship, we get to exercise the Kingdom of Heaven here on earth. As it is written in the Lord’s prayer, Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven Matthew 6:10.

The five fold ministry is here to help you get you back to His Image. Are they teaching you that you are still the image of Adam (you are still sinners) or are they helping you to walk in the fullness of Christ? As it is written, Ephesians 4:11 And He Himself gave some to be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, and some pastors and teachers, 12 for the equipping of the saints for the work of ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ, 13 till we all come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a perfect man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. Now you might think that this isn’t possible, but all things are possible with My Father. Paul wrote about conforming to the Image of Jesus, (let us make man in OUR Image) Romans 8:29 For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the Image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren.

John The Baptist preached for people to repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand. This repentance was symbolized by being born again through water baptism. Matthew 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance, but He who is coming after me is mightier than I, whose sandals I am not worthy to carry. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. This water batism is like the way you came into this world. When you were in your mother’s womb, you were in a sack of water. When the water broke, your mother gave birth to you into this world. so it is the way to be born into the Kingdom of God. You go into the water to die to your old self and you come out in the newness of life. Nicodemus, a teacher of the law, couldn’t understand this born again. That’s why he asked Jesus, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?” Jesus answered that question with “That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

I did write a blog regarding if their is one baptism or two. To enter the Kingdom of God and to operate from there, you must be born again. Jesus confirmed this when He said “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.” Now I ask you these questions, Do you want this? Do you want this free gift that Jesus is giving you? I pray that this blesses you. There is no catch to this free gift. Love is the greatest bait to catch men. Father used Jesus to catch men. Now Jesus is using us.
