There is a concept of the scriptures that most people are missing. It’s not about confessing that Jesus is Lord but believing this and living by it. As the Lord has been speaking to Me and teaching Me the ways of the Kingdom, He has brought to My attention something very profound. What He showed Me and opened My eyes to is His image. Jesus is the image of the invisible God. He told Philip that when “You have seen Me, you have seen the Father.” Jesus proved that you can walk on this earth in God’s image. It’s God’s image that heals, raises the dead, cast out a demon, and cleanse the leper. If you confess you are in God’s image, then you can do those things. If those things don’t happen, then you are not. We are living beings, but being in God’s image is a life-giving spirit.
1 Corinthians 15:45 And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.
Sadly today many look to the scriptures rather than Jesus. The Bible did not come to make peace between man and God, Jesus did. The Bible is not the author and finisher of your faith, Jesus is. The bible didn’t bring God’s image to you, Jesus did. The scriptures are a guide to what the writers of those scriptures knew. Jesus became the Word of God here on earth. When we go and preach the Word, we are preaching Jesus. Look at when Peter preached Jesus to Cornelius and his family, Holy Spirit came and fell on all of them. Also when Peter preached on the day of Pentecost, he was preaching to Jesus. Whenever Jesus is preached through the epistles, signs, and wonders happened as He cannot deny His Name.
Acts 10:44 While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who heard the word. 45 And those of the circumcision who believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because the gift of the Holy Spirit had been poured out on the Gentiles also. 46 For they heard them speak with tongues and magnify God. Then Peter answered, 47 “Can anyone forbid water, that these should not be baptized who have received the Holy Spirit just as we have?” 48 And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then they asked him to stay a few days.
When you go out and love on people, don’t just say you love them. Prove that you love them. I want to tell you a story that happened to Me. The Lord had told Me to go to a fair where card readings were being done, people could have physic talk to me. As I was there, I was looking around for someone for the Lord to point out to Me. After about one hour, the Lord hadn’t pointed anyone out yet, so I decided to leave. As I was leaving there was a woman who the Lord had pointed out to Me. So I went and struck up a conversation with her. Her hip was damaged and she told Me that doctors told her that there was no hope for surgery. I asked to pray for her, and she agreed. After I prayed, I made the mistake of asking her to come to church. Yes, I said mistake. I was there to love on her and show the goodness of God. As soon as I put a catch to this, I knew then the Lord wouldn’t heal her. This was a very important lesson for Me. If I go out and pray for people with a catch to it, it wasn’t done in love. I remember going to a witch’s walk and praying for a woman. I knew she was instantly healed by the reaction on her face. I didn’t ask her any questions because doubt and unbelief would arise. When you go out, what is motivating your heart? If you do the things you are called to do out of love expecting nothing in return, nothing will be impossible for you. Be blessed, my friends.
Luke 6:32 “But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. 33 And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. 34 And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive back, what credit is that to you? For even sinners lend to sinners to receive as much back. 35 But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil. 36 Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.
