What Seeds Are You Planting?

What kind of seeds are you planting? Are you planting seeds of doubt and unbelief? Are you planting seeds that we are only flesh and that’s all we are living by as this is all you see? Are you planting seeds of the Kingdom of God? Which seeds are you planting? Let me explain this and bring some light to this subject.

The Parable of the Growing Seed

Matthew 4:²⁶ And He said, “The kingdom of God is as if a man should scatter seed on the ground, ²⁷ and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he himself does not know how. ²⁸ For the earth yields crops by itself: first the blade, then the head, after that the full grain in the head. ²⁹ But when the grain ripens, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.” The Kingdom of God as if a man preaches the Word of God (the Kingdom) and is received on good ground. He does not know how the kingdom grows but God gives the increase of the Kingdom. First a child, then grows into a son after walks in the fullness of the Spirit. Once the time which has been appointed by Father, the angels come and bring all those who are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life into the Kingdom.

Now you could be scattering different kinds of seeds. These are the words that come out of your mouth. You might think that this is ok to say whatever you want even in small talk Matthew 12:³⁶ But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. James 3:⁸ But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. ⁹ With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God. ¹⁰ Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so. ¹¹ Does a spring send forth fresh water and bitter from the same opening? ¹² Can a fig tree, my brethren, bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Thus no spring yields both salt water and fresh.

Be careful of who you listen to as well. Many churches are filled with unbelieving believers. What do I mean by that? What fellowship has Righteousness with sin? Sin is lawlessness. Those who preach that you are still sinners and not the Righteousness of God in Christ Jesus, which Jesus paid for sin, then they are preaching (scattering seed) unbelief. 2 Corinthians 6:¹⁴ Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness? ¹⁵ And what accord has Christ with Belial? Or what part has a believer with an unbeliever? ¹⁶ And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will dwell in them And walk among them. I will be their God, And they shall be My people.”

Many people sow material things to reap material things like money. But there are those who sow Spiritual things. John 4:³⁴ Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work. ³⁵ Do you not say, ‘There are still four months and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look at the fields, for they are already white for harvest! ³⁶ And he who reaps receives wages, and gathers fruit for eternal life, that both he who sows and he who reaps may rejoice together. ³⁷ For in this the saying is true: ‘One sows and another reaps.’ ³⁸ I sent you to reap that for which you have not labored; others have labored, and you have entered into their labors.”

Please watch what you say, as this can come back and bite you. Your actions proves what you believe. This is why there is a Book called The Acts of the Apostles. Their actions proved what they believed. Going to church doesn’t save your life, surrendering to Jesus does.
