What made me look at this issue was last Sunday, as i was reading the scriptures (Exodus 28), the word breastplate jumped out at me. The Lord spoke to me and said, “look at who is wearing the breastplate?” The breastplate was made for the Priest’s. Exodus 28:3 So you shall speak to all who are gifted artisans, whom I have filled with the spirit of wisdom, that they may make Aaron’s garments, to consecrate him, that he may minister to Me as priest. 4 And these are the garments which they shall make: a breastplate, an ephod, a robe, a skillfully woven tunic, a turban, and a sash. So they shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother and his sons, that he may minister to Me as priest. Peter told us that we are priests as well. 1 Peter 2:9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light. Let’s look at this deeper.
Even before you put on the armor you must be strong in the Lord and the power of His might. Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armor of God (not the armor of a soldier but of God), that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. Ephesians 6:13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm. Ephesians 6:14 Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness (the Lord told me that if you call yourself a sinner, you can’t put on righteousness as a breastplate. This is how the enemy undresses you. He takes off your armor/garments.), 15 and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; 16 above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. 17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword (Hosea 6:5)of the Spirit, which is the word of God. You are to put on Jesus as an armor of light. This is the armor of God.
So this armor we put on is Jesus as we are in Him. Hebrews 6:20 where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek. The only way this armor can come off is if you believe anything different, as we are the righteousness of God in Him. 2 Corinthians 5:21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. This is the only way to put the armor on. Be Blessed
Worthy Is the Lamb
Revelation 5:8 Now when He had taken the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb, each having a harp, and golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints. 9 And they sang a new song, saying:
“You are worthy to take the scroll,
And to open its seals;
For You were slain,
And have redeemed us to God by Your blood
Out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,
10 And have made us kings and priests to our God;
And we shall reign on the earth.”
