Meditating this morning, something big in the scriptures connected me. What came to me was Romans 14:17, “for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.” I have read this verse hundreds of times, but this morning is very different. I saw this verse in a new light.

What came to me this morning is you have to break down all three parts of that verse to where they came from. When you operate in all three, you are living from the Kingdom. The first is righteousness. Where does righteousness come from? Righteousness comes from Father. “O, righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me.” “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. You love righteousness and hate wickedness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.” Our peace came through Jesus Christ. “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom also we have access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.” “And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.” In that hour Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit and said, “I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and revealed them to babes. Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight.” “And you became followers of us and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with the joy of the Holy Spirit, so that you became examples to all in Macedonia and Achaia who believe.” So we see that operating from the Kingdom, you live from righteousness, peace, and joy. When all three are in operation, you are living in the Godhead. “Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.”

I pray that your eyes of understanding are enlightened by this revelation. I pray that you operate in the fullness of the spirit. Interesting that Jesus is the King of Righteousness and the King of Peace. “This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, where the forerunner has entered for us, even Jesus, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek. For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the Most High God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him, to whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all, first being translated “KING OF RIGHTEOUSNESS,” and then also king of Salem, meaning “KING OF PEACE,” without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like the Son of God, remains a priest continually.” Be blessed, my friends.
