I find it fascinating that most Christians don’t know what Jesus paid for. Most believe that He paid for them to go to heaven. Are His death, burial, and resurrection more than that? Yes, it is! Paul tells the Corinthians to glorify God in their bodies and spirit. “Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.”

As you meditate on those verses that I just mentioned, do you notice that you are a temple that houses the Holy Spirit? So if the Holy Spirit is in you and He is Holy that makes you holy. Have you ever heard that taught? If you have, amazing, if not, you are being lied to. Paul told the church in Colosse, “For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross. And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you HOLY, AND BLAMELESS, AND ABOVE REPROACH IN HIS SIGHT––if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister.” One thing that struck me the most was Paul never served God with his flesh. This may sound weird to you, but that’s what he said. “For God is my witness, WHOM I SERVE WITH MY SPIRIT in the gospel of His Son, that without ceasing I make mention of you always in my prayers.” Putting this all together, Paul tells you that you are the temple of the Holy Spirit. Priests are the ones who minister in the temple. “John, to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace to you and peace from Him who is and who was and who is to come, and from the seven Spirits who are before His throne, and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler over the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and HAS MADE US KINGS AND PRIESTS to His God and Father, to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.” You have the entire Godhead in you. “Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you? ––unless indeed you are disqualified.” It’s the Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom. “Do not fear, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.” You are one with Christ. “But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.

I pray that the eyes of your understanding be enlightened to what Jesus paid for. You have the Kingdom in you, live from the Kingdom. “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Be blessed, my friend.
