If Christians would have the understanding of what they really have, the world would be in a better place. It is the goodness of God to lead men to repent, why wouldn’t Christians live by that goodness? “Or do you despise the riches of His goodness, forbearance, and longsuffering, not knowing that the goodness of God leads you to repentance?” God’s goodness is His glory! “So the LORD said to Moses, “I will also do this thing that you have spoken; for you have found grace in My sight, and I know you by name.” And he said, “Please, SHOW ME YOUR GLORY. “Then He said, “I will make all MY GOODNESS pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the LORD before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.” Can you imagine if Christians actually followed Jesus who went around doing good, the goodness of God that led men to repent. “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.”
Now that I got that out of the way, can you imagine that you are the temple of the living God? Would you defile that temple? Would you call the temple a place of sin? Are you the temple of the living God , or just a sinner saved by grace? I ask these questions to see if you understand who you really are. “DO YOU NOT KNOW that YOUR BODIES ARE MEMBERS OF CHRIST? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not! Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For “the two,” He says, “shall become one flesh.” BUT HE WHO IS JOINED TO THE LORD IS ONE SPIRIT WITH HIM. Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or DO YOU NOT KNOW THAT YOUR BODY IS THE TEMPLE OF THE HOLY SPIRIT WHO IS IN YOU, WHOM YOU HAVE FROM GOD, and YOU ARE NOT YOUR OWN? For you were bought at a price; THEREFORE GLORIFY GOD IN YOUR BODY AND IN YOUR SPIRIT, WHICH ARE GOD’S.”
