Jesus told Philip you have seen Me, you have seen the Father. What Jesus said back then rings loud and clear today. The unfortunate part, many churchgoers don’t believe that today. If anyone is in Christ they are a new creation, old things pass away, and behold all things have become new. In other words, people can see Christ in you if you are in Christ. Sadly, many today, like Philip, can’t see Jesus even if He was right in front of them.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
Acts 9:3 As he journeyed he came near Damascus, and suddenly a light shone around him from heaven. 4 Then he fell to the ground, and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?” 5 And he said, “Who are You, Lord?” Then the Lord said, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is hard for you to kick against the goads.” 6 So he, trembling and astonished, said, “Lord, what do You want me to do?” Then the Lord said to him, “Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”
Many preachers today are more motivational speakers than a preacher. A preacher has signs following Him. Look at some of the great preachers of the past. People didn’t just come to hear a message but got healed through them. This is why preachers preach, the Kingdom of heaven has come near to you. Those who have the Holy Spirit exercise the Kingdom, on earth as it is in heaven. This may sound foreign to some of you. The devil has done a good job deceiving the church getting them to believe Jesus doesn’t do that anymore. By doing this, the devil has taken the sword of the spirit right out of your hand and you didn’t even know it.
Matthew 10:7 And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ 8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give.
Do you ever wonder why Jesus told Saul, “Why are you persecuting Me?” This is after Jesus rose from the dead. Where was Jesus when Saul was persecuting Him, in the people. The spirit realm knows who is of God and who is not. The church can’t see past the flesh into the spirit realm. That’s why you could be entertaining angels and not even know it. Also, the devil masquerades as an angel of light and his ministers masquerade as ministers of righteousness. Why does the devil go this far to deceive you? That’s simple. He knows something that he doesn’t want you to know. If you knew what He knows, he is done. What is it that the devil is most fearful of? It’s Christ in you. If you ever walk out of this life in God’s image, he is done. You might think you are in His image, but most are not. God’s image is Jesus. That’s why if you are in Christ you are a new creation, the image of God. All of creation is waiting for the revealing of the sons of God. They walk in the spirit because they are led by the spirit. The sons of God are exactly like their Father, in His image. The sons of God will do greater works than Jesus did because Jesus went to Father. Healings, the raising of the dead, and multiplying food are the beginning steps for the sons of God. Be blessed, my friends.
