What does this statement have anything to do with the Bible and the Scriptures, Wake up Neo… the Matrix has you? This particular movie, The Matrix from 1999, has some hidden gems in it. If you are not of one who is of the Spirit, you may of well missed it. There are those who are waking up to the Spirit to understand what I am talking about.
This world that we live in can be referred to as a Matrix. Jesus tried to explain this to Pilate but he didn’t understand. John 18:33 Then Pilate entered the Praetorium again, called Jesus, and said to Him, “Are You the King of the Jews?” 34 Jesus answered him, “Are you speaking for yourself about this, or did others tell you this concerning Me?” 35 Pilate answered, “Am I a Jew? Your own nation and the chief priests have delivered You to me. What have You done?” 36 Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.” 37 Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?” Some of you are beginning to understand of what I am saying. Jesus NEVER said that we are to seek the things of this world but said Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
This world that we live in is a sinful world. You see it everywhere. It started with Adam and Eve. They sinned and their sin separated themselves from God. Sin does the same to you. Sin keeps you in this world. Jesus tried to explain this but the people didn’t have ears to hear. John 8:42 Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love Me, for I proceeded forth and came from God; nor have I come of Myself, but He sent Me. 43 Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word. 44 You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand IN the truth, because there is no truth IN him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. 45 But because I tell the truth, you do not believe Me. 46 Which of you convicts Me of sin? And if I tell the truth, why do you not believe Me? 47 He who is of God hears God’s words (God’s words are spoken through Jesus as He is the Word made flesh. God’s word is not the Bible as many people think. Satan speaks in the Bible); therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God.”
Many people in this world including the church are asleep to Righteousness. 1 Corinthians 15:34 Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame. If you only knew that Jesus is the King of Kings. The reason why I mention this is the fact that, do you know what Jesus is the King of? Has that ever crossed your mind? Jesus did say earlier in the second paragraph, My kingdom is not of this world. What is that Kingdom? Kingdom of God! Romans 14:17 for the Kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit. Jesus is the King of Righteousness and the King of Peace. Hebrews 1:8 But to the Son He says: “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. 9 You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.” My question to you is, if Jesus is the king of Righteousness and you are following Jesus (Righteousness), how is it possible that those who confess they are following Jesus are still sinners saved by Grace? If you aren’t forgiven from sin, how do you expect to forgive others?
When churchgoers, who are not Christians, say to you quoting part of a verse saying, “there is none righteous, no, not one,” what they are really saying is that you are part of this matrix (sinner) and you cant be part of the Kingdom of God until you die. Sadly I will use a clip from the movie to show you that you are dead to this world and alive to God. In this clip, Neo dies. The one who loves him revives his heart and he is alive again but everything has changed. He can now see in the Spirit (sort to speak) and all the fiery darts the enemy throws at him/you (bullets – in this world bullets are words) cant touch you as you now know that you are in the world but not part of it. Once you know this, the demons will know this as well and will freak out that you know. 1 John 4:17 Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.
