It is sad that many people don’t think they are worthy of the Lord even though they are born again into Jesus. It’s not of what you have done that will make God love you, but what Jesus has done. Yes, sin can separate you from God, but when you asked for forgiveness, God has forgiven you. Do we live in sin and keep asking for forgiveness? Romans 6:1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? 2 Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it? Have you heard this good news? You are the only one who can separate yourself from God’s love for you. You are not a concubine, you are the bride. Romans 8:37 Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 FOR I AM PERSUADED that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

If we are going to be the Bride of Christ, we need to get ourselves ready. The first thing that we must do is to get rid of the filthy garment of sin. It doesn’t look good on us. Satan will try to accuse us that we are not worthy, but we don’t listen to him, he is a liar. Zechariah 3:1 Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to oppose him. And the Lord said to Satan, â€śThe Lord rebuke you, Satan! The Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a brand plucked from the fire?” Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and was standing before the Angel. Then He answered and spoke to those who stood before Him, saying, “Take away the filthy garments from him.” And to him He said, “See, I have removed your iniquity from you, and I will clothe you with rich robes.” And I said, “Let them put a clean turban on his head.” So they put a clean turban on his head, and they put the clothes on him. And the Angel of the Lord stood by. Today, the garment that we put on is righteousness. Some might not believe this as they have been taught that there is no one righteous. That is true for the natural man, but we are not natural, but spiritual. Revelation 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.

Let’s take a look at this beautiful garment of righteousness. When you are putting on the armor of God, you are putting on His righteousness. You are clothing yourself with God. When Paul was writing to the Romans, he referred to this armor as a armor of light. Even going as far as telling them to put on the Lord Jesus! A bride knows what she looks good in, but a concubine feels not worthy of the King. Romans 13:11 And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light13 Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. 14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts. Let us all take this free gift of righteousness and put Him on. This is the indescribable gift which our King has given us to wear because we look good in it. Romans 5:17 For if by the one man’s offense DEATH reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in LIFE through the One, Jesus Christ. Are you getting yourself ready for the King?
