There many who claim to have faith, but they don’t live by it. There is no evidence in their lives that they are operating in faith. When the storms come in your life like your family, health, finances, do you stand in the armor of God and on the rock who is Jesus? Matthew 7:24 “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: 25 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. 26 “But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: 27 and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell. And great was its fall.”
As I was writing this, the Lord showed me regarding the faith of Moses and the faith of the people of Israel. Remember that in Egypt, the Israelites saw the 10 plagues come against Egypt. They came out of Egypt with gold and silver. The Lord followed them by cloud during the day and fire by night and yet by the red sea they were all in fear. The only one in faith, Moses. Exodus 14:10 And when Pharaoh drew near, the children of Israel lifted their eyes, and behold, the Egyptians marched after them. So they were very afraid, and the children of Israel cried out to the Lord. 11 Then they said to Moses, “Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you so dealt with us, to bring us up out of Egypt? 12 Is this not the word that we told you in Egypt, saying, ‘Let us alone that we may serve the Egyptians’? For it would have been better for us to serve the Egyptians than that we should die in the wilderness.” 13 And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever. 14 The Lord will fight for you, and you shall HOLD YOUR PEACE” Now do you see what it means to be in faith and those who say they have faith, but are in fear. If your faith is in the Lord and the power of His might then you will stand like Moses did and not the people of Israel.
This blog is not about condemnation, but what is possible if you put your faith only in Jesus. The word faith in Hebrews 11 is the Greek word pistis. In the Strong’s concordance it’s number 4102 meaning faith, faithfulness. This word pistis can also be used as faith, belief, trust, confidence; fidelity, faithfulness. If you have faith in Jesus, then you trust Him. Do you trust or have faith in Jesus with all your heart? Or are you like a ship being tossed to and fro with every wind of doctrine?
Everyone has been given a measure of faith. Did you know that your faith which of the spirit grows like a tree? Did you also know that if you have all wisdom and knowledge like King Solomon was given, and not have the love of God, you are nothing? 1 Corinthians 13:2 And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing.
The reason why the Lord has me writing this particular blog is because you can not be in faith and in sin. You are in one, not both at the same time. Ephesians 2:8 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God. Luke 7:50 Then He said to the woman, “Your faith has saved you. Go in peace.” What do you think you are saved from? Colossians 2:13 When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins. If you are not living by faith, then you are living in sin. Romans 14:23 But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith; for whatever is not from faith is sin.
Here is something to really think about. Look at these verse and go the Lord regarding them. Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. 17 For in it (the gospel) the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.” The Bible is saying that in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed. Did you know that. Here is the gospel in a nutshell; 1 Peter 2:24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed. 2 Corinthians 5:21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
